Since the incredible slowdown of Google's systems is causing the most stress in my own life, any system I designed would not revolve around Google. Instead of automatically going with the largest and best known I encourage everyone to consider other solutions including open source alternatives. I am extremely interested in this topic and with the assistance of a brilliant Grad Student who has more time to research I hope to identify solutions.

Since the incredible slowdown of Google’s systems is causing the most stress in my own life, any system I designed would not revolve around Google.
